Beijing Highlights - Day 3, 1st Dec

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Our 4th Day in Beijing is about Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace and Olympic Stadiums.
Here we see an old lady doing calligraphy with water on the floor
at the Temple of Heaven Park early in the morning.

The park was bustling with old folks chit-chatters, playing chess, walking hurriedly, etc

Entering the Temple of Heaven - A Unesco protected site.

A glimpse of the inside of the temple. This is the place that the Emperor would come
and pray once a year for a good harvest with some sacrifice (farm animals).

Heavenly.

At he back of the temple; picture ruiner at work. Adik!

Our cute little Angry Bird.

Another temple site - where if you stand on a certain spot; sound bounces back
delayed by several seconds.

We are standing on the 'highest point' of the earth, closest to the 'god in the sky'.

Almost frozen lake (with ice chips) in front of the man-made
summer palace.

Nice pics taken by daddy around the palace.

Marble ferry where the royals used to have 'parties'

Mummy's most favourite landmark in Beijing.

Water Cube. It's too cold and cloudy. Didn't manage to capture a clear shot.

We ended the day with a mini celebration of Daddy's birthday.
We had a tub of ice-cream instead of cake.

Daddy helped Nadia 'pimped' her first pair of canvas shoes.
Note the 'bling bling' that they both had added.
